OPENING UP THE ART WORLD
An English-American curator, gallery director, TV presenter and art writer based in London, Carrie Scott has built a career around reshaping how contemporary art is presented and experienced. She has led galleries including Nicole Klagsbrun in New York and James Harris in Seattle, and was curator at the Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University.
In 2008, Carrie launched her own consultancy, curating exhibitions beyond traditional gallery spaces. For a decade, she also served as Director of Nick Knight’s archive and the SHOWstudio Shop, collaborating on projects at the intersection of art and fashion.
In 2017, Carrie presented The Art Show on Sky Arts. Her curatorial highlights include Shade of Pale at The Store X, 180 Strand in London, Tête-à-Têtes at David Hill Gallery, and John Pawson’s first solo exhibition in Japan at The Mass in 2024.
Carrie holds a Master’s degree in Art History, writes extensively on contemporary art, and is a nominator for the prestigious Prix Pictet award. In 2024, she founded Seen, a next-generation art consultancy and media platform focused on making the art world more transparent and accessible.
