Tue 13th SJM Concerts presents BLACK ACID + The Big Pink
Doors 7.30 THIS IS A RESCHEDULED SHOW. ALL TICKETS FROM THE ORIGINAL FEBRUARY 12TH SHOW ARE VALID. Formed by Richard Fearless of Death In Vegas fame, Black Acid bring their NYC tinged racket to the Luminaire on Tuesday 13th May. Taking the dark, soulful, psychedelic rock of DIV, Fearless brings a whole new twist with Black Acid. Described by the NME as channelling 'the spirit of Suicide and the Stooges' and by Time Out as 'lean, malevolent, darkly stuttering and urgently groovy', the band also lists Roky Erickson and Hawkwind amongst their influences. Having just finished an east coast tour of the US with The Raveonettes, their Luminaire appearance is part of Black Acid's first European tour and builds on the success of the March released debut single 'FUR'. Alongside Fearless, Black Acid's line up comprises of Matty McDermott (NYMPH), Oliver Ackermann (A Place To Bury Strangers) and Doug Marvin (Dirty On Purpose). Info on The Big Pink soon. |
