Sat 2nd Club AC30 presents A SUNNY DAY IN GLASGOW + Working For A Nuclear Free City + Epic45
Doors 8.00 A Sunny Day in Glasgow began as a bedroom project of Ben Daniels and his sisters Robin & Lauren. They released their first EP The Sunniest Day Ever in March 2006 which provided them early acclaim and paved the way for their debut full length Scribble Mural Comic Journal on Notenuf Records. In 2007, the Daniels siblings assembled a backing band of disparate musicians from various countries/states to tour in support of the critically acclaimed SMCJ. The band will be playing select dates in 2008, but will be primarily focusing on recording their follow-up to SMCJ. "Working For A Nuclear Free City's best bass-driven dance floor bangers and stately, textured landscapes are all here, and there are a couple of fresh surprises, too... WfaNFC weave woozy atmospheres for an intoxicated ride home bathed in subway fluorescent or headlight halogen... Businessmen & Ghosts is a long-overdue U.S. document of a band that might just be getting really interesting." - Pitchfork Media |
